Places to shop in the Isle of wight

There are many places to shop in the Isle of wight and a choice of different shopping Locations

With the Isle of wight being a mixture of both a popular tourist destination and residential locations you will find a wide and eclectic range of shops and products islandwide.

In the Isle of wight, you’ll never be short of choice when it comes to shopping. We’ve a range of high street names, independent shops, specialist shops and markets to explore.

High street shopping

You’ll find a large number of high street shops in our towns throughout the Island –  National chains have a prominent presence with well known names including – Marks & Spencer, Clarks, H&M, Next, H Samuel, JD Sports, Matalan, New LOOK, Top Shop, Boots, WH Smith, Currys, PC World, Dunelm Mill, Screwfix Direct, B&Q and many more.

In the smaller towns there are fewer national retailers but many locally owned businesses including clothing, gifts and souvenirs, Confectioners, furniture,  Pet shops, chandlery and much more.

It’s not all about the big brands. We also have shopping Arcades offering a range of independent shops. These historic structures house clothes stores, craft shops, cafes and restaurants.

Shops in Newport:- PO30

Often known as the capital of the Isle of Wight, Is at the centre of the Isle of Wight and is the largest of our shopping towns with many well known national high street retailers and an even wider choice of locally owned shops. Infamous as ‘Newport you cannot bottle’

Shops in Ryde:- PO33

A quite unique shopping experience with shops in the high street , side streets and even along the esplanade – Infamous as ‘Ryde where you walk’.

Often referred to as the gateway to the Island due to it’s ferry connections, comes a close second to Newport in size and choice of shops

Shops in Sandown:- PO36

Sandown shops are mainly found in the high street of the seaside resort known as Sandown bay in the Isle of Wight.

Shops in Shanklin:- PO37

Shanklin shops are mainly found in the high street and regent street of the seaside resort known as Sandown bay in the Isle of Wight.

And of course the infamous ‘Old village’ with quaint thatched shops and tearooms
